記憶拼貼Memories Collage

李昕用老照片,大圖輸出於畫布,保留眼神、臉的部分線條,以及當時的光與影。然後用油彩塗抹上去。油彩顏料像是填充劑,填補在記憶與記憶的間隙,揉雜了過去與現在。

一張照片,就是一段記憶的切片。當快門『喀擦』一瞬間,裁切了時間,成為一小片段,照片永恆的保存了一霎那的影像,這是為何她要用『老照片』這個物件,召喚記憶。

將老照片、記憶、手繪共構成的視覺張力的美感,有如召喚記憶的儀式,拼貼過去與現在的自我,發展出她另類的「自畫像」。

Lee Shin uses old photographs, printing them in large format on canvas while preserving the gaze, facial lines, and the light and shadows of that time. She then applies oil paint over them. The oil paint acts like a filler, filling the gaps between memories, blending the past with the present.

A photograph is like a slice of memory. The moment the shutter clicks, it cuts through time, capturing a brief segment, and the photo eternally preserves that fleeting image. This is why she uses the object of the "old photograph" to summon memories.

By combining old photographs, memories, and hand painting, she creates a visual tension and aesthetic that resembles a ritual of memory recall, piecing together past and present selves, and developing her unique form of "self-portrait."
